Shankey Agrawal is a partner at BMR Legal. He specialises in tax litigation and has been involved in a number of high-stakes litigation. He has over 15 years of robust experience in direct and indirect tax litigation. He advises and assists clients regarding taxation and foreign exchange-related violations, investigations, and criminal prosecutions.

Agrawal obtained his bachelor of law degree from the esteemed ILS Law College, Pune. He is also a qualified company secretary from the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI). He is qualified as an advocate-on-record of the Supreme Court.

He has authored various articles in reputable publications and journals on taxation and international trade. In collaboration with the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM), he has co-authored a report on the equalisation levy, which has been expanded in scope with the enactment of the Finance Act, 2020. Agrawal regularly speaks at various national and state level seminars on tax-related issues.
