He is widely recognised for contributions in these areas, having also been recently empaneled by the Competition Commission of India. He has over 12 years of experience at the bar, and his clients include several fortune 500 companies, Indian multinationals, global MNCs, PSUs, MSMEs and SMEs, startups etc.

He has appeared in over a thousand commercial litigation, corporate, taxation and competition matters, across courts including tribunals and high courts in New Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Sikkim, Orissa, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Kerala and the Supreme Court of India. Specifically, in taxation, Shivadass has represented clients on issues of export of services, intermediaries, customs classification and the like. In competition law, he has advised clients on cartel and abuse of dominance investigations.

Shivadass currently also leads the data protection & privacy team at the firm, and advises companies on notice and consent management, cross border data transfers, data minimization and retention strategies, data mapping, etc. Prior to setting up Shivadass & Shivadass (over six years ago), Shivadass has worked with top law firms in India and abroad. He holds a Bachelor of Law, with Honors degree from India, and Master of Law degree from London, UK.
